The reliable
alert system that provides you with assurance of preventing unattended foaling of your
precious mare.Although your mare during
normal circumstances will be perfectly at ease with their human companions, up to the
point of delivery of their foal, a mare often displays an instinctive reaction of feeling
vulnerable, which can even make her delay the birth. Therefore it's often better to leave
the mare by herself which will make her feel more secure and relaxed.
But you still need to be alerted when the delivery time is
due, which is why the birth alert system is so valuable in both keeping your mare relaxed
as possible, but alerting you when the time has come.
The birth monitoring system comprises of two basic
components which are the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter is easily sutured
to the mares vulva, by a vet, normally 2 weeks prior to the expected delivery date. The
transmitter is activated when the vulva separates prior to birth of the foal, by an
actuating magnet which is pulled from the transmitter. This separation activates the
transmitter, which in turn activates the receiver alerting you of the pending birth.
Depending upon what extras you require, the receiver can
alert; a Pager, an Audible Alarm and an Auto Dialler which can telephone you.
Please click on the individual
components for more information.
